Home / Rendleman Orchards - Alto Pass, Illinois Fall Activities
Rendleman Orchards in Alto Pass is a fifth-generation family farm, growing peaches, nectarines and apples since 1873. In the fall it opens a u-pick pumpkin patch daily from the last week of September through Halloween.
Does it cost anything to visit?
No. Admission and parking are free, and admission includes visits to the chickens and fall photo spots. You pay for pumpkins by the pound, and u-pick flowers are sold by the cup: $10, $20 or $30 depending on size.
Can we pick apples here?
No. It is a working commercial orchard, so the apple and peach orchards are closed to visitors. Picked fruit is sold in the farm market instead.
What are the hours?
Monday through Saturday 9 AM to 5 PM, and Sunday noon to 5 PM, through October 31. The pumpkin patch keeps the same hours and closes promptly at 5 PM.
Is there a fall treat?
Yes. In the fall the market sells apple cider donuts and cider slushies. Borrow a wagon or bring your own for hauling pumpkins back from the short walk to the patch.
