Home / Okaw Valley Orchard - Sullivan, Illinois Fall Activities
Okaw Valley Orchard is an apple orchard and country store on County Road 1750 N outside Sullivan. It is free to visit, and families come for pick-your-own apples, the store's fresh-pressed cider and baked goods, and a free playground.
Does it cost anything to get in?
No. Parking, the playground and entry are all free. You pay only for what you buy, and u-pick apples are sold by the bag at the U-Pick Tent outside, where you check in before heading into the rows.
When is it open this fall?
Tuesday through Saturday 9 AM to 5 PM and Sunday noon to 5 PM. It is normally closed Mondays, but opens on Mondays from September 7 through November 2.
What is in the store?
Fresh-pressed cider, apple cider donuts, homemade pies and crisps, apple fritters, apple cinnamon rolls and local honey. There is also a covered picnic area, farm animals and orchard walks, so it is easy to make an afternoon of it.
