Home / Bronkberry Farms - Plainfield, Illinois Fall Activities
Bronkberry Farms is a five-generation family farm and greenhouse on Bronk Road in Plainfield. In the fall it has a free u-pick pumpkin patch, weekend hayrack rides and a general store, and it closes for the season on October 31.
Does it cost anything to visit?
Admission and parking are free, and so is the u-pick pumpkin patch, where you pay only for the pumpkins you take. Weekend hayrack rides are $4 a person and leave every hour on the hour, pulled by a 1940s tractor.
When is it open?
Tuesday through Sunday from 9 AM to 6 PM, closed Mondays. It does open on Columbus Day, Monday, October 12, from 9 AM to 3 PM.
Can we pick apples this year?
No. The u-pick apple orchard is not open this season because of the weather, but pre-picked apples are sold in the general store along with the farm's homemade caramel apples.
Is there a fall festival?
Yes, the two-day Fall Fest runs Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11, with pumpkin painting, the u-pick patch, hayrack rides, apple cider and pumpkin spice donuts, and photo spots.
