Home / Gallagher's Farm Market and Bakery - Traverse City, Michigan Fall Activities
Gallagher's Farm Market and Bakery on East Traverse Highway has been a family market since 1972, about eight minutes from downtown Traverse City. It opens in mid-June each year and stays open through October, and in the fall it turns into a stop for pumpkins, apples and baked treats.
What is there to do in the fall?
Pick out a pumpkin and some apples, then warm up with a cup of hot cider and a pumpkin donut from the bakery. The farm grows its own pumpkins in unusual varieties for carving or decorating.
When is the market open?
Every day except Tuesday, from 8 AM to 6 PM. It closes for the year at the end of October.
Are there animals?
Yes. The farm has a barnyard, and each spring new animals join the family, including chickens, pigs and lambs.
