About Highland Orchards

Highland Orchards is a farm market, bakery and pick-your-own orchard on Marshallton Thorndale Road in West Chester, under an hour from Philadelphia. Fall brings a 5-acre Pennsylvania-themed corn maze, apple cannons and hayrides through the orchard, and the bakery is known for its apple cider donuts.

When is it open?

The market and bakery are closed Mondays. They open Tuesday through Friday 9 AM to 6 PM and Saturday and Sunday 9 AM to 5 PM. Pick-your-own runs Tuesday through Sunday, 9 AM to 3 PM.

How long should we plan for the corn maze?

The shuttle ride out to the maze and apple cannons takes about 15 minutes, and most people spend around an hour in the maze. You can go through as many times as you like, but last entry is 3 PM. The maze has several exits and maps if little ones get tired.

Do we need a reservation, and what if it rains?

Reservations are no longer required for the maze. There are no refunds, but in bad weather you can come back later the same day or on any other day the farm is open. Children under 12 must stay with an adult in the maze.

How do the apple cannons work?

Extra buckets of apples cost $10 each. A bucket holds 15 apples and up to four people can share it. Check in at the Red Shed near the playground when you arrive.
